Subject: Selling A.G. Pumpkins
A couple of local garden centers are interested in purchasing a few of my A.G.
pumpkins.
I only have four, and they are between 300-500 lbs (still growing).
The problem is, I don't know how much to sell them for. B If I was to add up
all the hours, sweat and hard work I dedicated to them,
I'd have to charge a dollar a pound. That's not going to happen, but what's
fair, $40-$60 or $100? I have no idea.
Anyone with experience selling pumpkins or have some advise on selling them?
I grew them for enjoyment, not for money but Delaware doesn't have a
competition. My plan is to just have them officially weighed by the state's
Department of Natural Resources (DNREC), Weights and Measurements. I thought
of taking my biggest to the Punkin Chunkin B completion, and display it, but
that's not until November.
