Re: killing a tree


Here Here Steve!!!!  Maples are trash trees (unless
they're Japanese maples).  Their roots are murder to mowers and tillers
alike.  Back in colonial times they girdled trees.  it works.  Lightning did
it to one of my monster oak trees back in April.  blew all the bark off the
trunk.  July = dead tree.  but if a person needs to be less conspicuous,
then drill pilot holes into the trunk and drive copper wires into the tree,
in deep.  Hard to find copper nails these days.
