I would assume it is "Sun Scald" or Stem Rot....
Sun Scald - Papery patches on leaf
Pale brown, papery patches sometime occur on the margins of the leaves
and shrinkage of the dry areas takes place. Expousure to bright
sunlight is the cause.
Treatment. None
Stem Rot
leaf bloches have adisnct yellow hal0. Bruce
