Re: Captan paste


Mike,
  Yes you should apply the Captan to the stems and vines if you have breaks
or cracks. I just happened to get a crack this morning in the joint where
the stem and vine meet. This occurred when I was repositioning the pumpkin
to allow it more shoulder space. Had this same problem last year and the
crack sealed up and the pumpkin kept on growing. Just remember to keep the
area dry after application ,or the Captan will just be rinsed off from
rains or irrigating.   Good Luck to you... Shellie
