Dear Marv,

I have had a little experience with a horticultural spreader, though in the
application of farm poisons. I think it's basically a solvent which helps
the chemical stick to the plant by penetrating the waxy cuticle a bit. The
stuff (don't know the brand) we used wasn't great, but I think it does the
job. I'd spray at about the usual frequency even with this stuff- and it's
unlikely to hold in rain.
