Trish,

They should print a warning on the seed packets :" Warning emotional roller
coaster" he's up,no, he's down, shes elated now she's crying. This game
is not for whimps. Its simple and complex. It relies on luck of the draw
and then if everything goes perfect you get a whooper. My first year I
went on a foliar feeding binge my pumpkin took off 5,6,7 inches a day in
cir. Ha,Ha 400lbs 500 pounds I am going to kick bootie. This is simple..
Everyone in town was stopping by to see the monster. I was in love and
that's when it happened. I could see it from a distance. A dark line.
What the hell is that I thought as I drew closer. Oh my God No. A split.
Not knowing that this meant death. I nursed the wound for two weeks with
hopes it was alive. It toyed with me it kept growing for a while, I
captanned it, I waxed it, I slapped every fruit fly feeding on it. I was
leaning over the pumpkin spraying fungucide when we became one. I was
emersed in mush. I have been in therapy for 2 years now trying to get over
this relationship............perhaps will meet in group someday..Brock

How bout humoring me with some "FIRST TIME"
>stories :) It sure would help my ego to know I wasn't the only newbie
>out there to fail this year :)
>
>Thank folks!
> Trish
