HI Jon,
I am sorry to have upset you. My thinking is so regional . Of course
growers in the sunny Cal. and many other parts of the US have a long growing
season ahead of them..
I live in New England , and my local weigh off is Aug 22 only three weeks
from today.
Every thing I have read in My Area says it's best to have fruit set between
July 1 - 10. Since Mr. Wood Chuck and his very large family have eaten all
my female flowers for the past two weeks , I have no new pumpkins to set my
hopes on. I do still have 2 pumpkins left , the bite scars on "Scarlett "
have healed pretty well . Still fighting stray molds .
