Pumpkin Flower,
I have a female blossom on both of the late plants. Having a friend come
over tomorrow to pollinate for me. Going to be hot though. I heard one
weather report that we will be near record temps upwards to 110 cool
degrees. Today wasn't much better at 106. With any luck these babies
will be the ones for Half Moon Bay! This isn't too far off the August 1
dead line. I was starting to worry a little but now never fear the race
is on! This morning I tried to put a little extra water on the patches
before it got hot and pow went on of the great looking pumpkins on the
853 E. There are still a couple of back ups on the plant. I just stood
there in amazement at the power of the plants.
