Fellow Growers,
I need someone who has 'been there and done
that' to advise me on how I can do this. I've got
an 80 pounder that's gaining up to 9 or 10 pounds
a day on a main about 8 feet out, but on the opposite
side of the same vine about 3 feet further out I've
got a 22 pounder that I need to get rid of so the big
one can have a little vine relief. It's too close to put
dirt on when I cut it. If it wasn't, I would apply a
Captan paste and bury that portion like I do others
at times. So, how do I go about tending the cut
once it's made? Please advise.
