Pumpkineers,
I need some advice. We have had no rain here in northern Illinois for a
good month... until yesterday. Now it won't stop. I feel like I should
be building an ark. We've had at least 5" of rain with more forcast for
the next 4 days! I am worried that the plants may drown or the pumpkins
will rot. I have been applying a copper spray (the brand is "Bonide")
once a week for mildew. Is this the right approach? Should I be doing
anything else? I currently have pumpkins ranging from golf ball size
to 90" OTT. Also can anyone reccomend a good high potassium fertilizer?
Thanks and good luck to all!
