Well here I am again talking about "Scar". Seems it has grown to recognizable
size and potential now. The third stem split has been healing and stopped
getting deeper the past 2 days and last night I got the call. The statewide
newspaper, The Oregonian, is on their way out to photo shoot Scar. I am going
to really hype it up to boost interest in our sport/ hobby. I do every year,
but this time they are talking color section cover, full page spread.
Wahoo!!! At the very least everyone will get to see that I'm not bullsh&!@#.
I know, this will jinx my biggie from making it to the weighoff, but hey, I'm
excited. Cheap thrills are important for those of us who have no life outside
the pumpkin patch.
Just a quick note, "Nameless" the biggie on the #827 Holland just passed an
estimated OTT weight of 300 pounds and is actually gaining on Scar. Other
pumpkins of note are "Nerf" biggie of the #697 Ciliberto, "Fat Albert" and
"Retard" on the #825 Shymanski, "Wart" second to Nameless on the Holland,
"Wallnut" and "Pamela" on the Mombert, "Yukon II" second to Scar on the #627,
and "Cindy", "Spunk" and "Spud II" on the #469.
Take Care all and let all those biggies live to the weighoff for everyone.
