Hi Troop,
Well Scar lives on, barely. The bad stem split is 7 inches deep. only good
news is that the shell on the pumpkin is over 7 inches thick. The two side
plits in the stem are done growing now and the new top stem split isn't
splitting towards a problem area. Four stem splits on the same stem for
crying out loud. I can touch my fingers four ways into the stem and touch
them in the midde, or stick my whole hand in the bad split. The stem is huge
though, where it attaches to the pumpkin it is 27 inches in circumfrence.
Current measurements are 128 circ. 81 OTW and 85 OTL, giving a total of 294
total inches, estimating out at about 525 pounds. Keep in mind this pumpkin
is only 42 days old.
