DON'T LET ALL THE VINES GROW. I don't know about the x-mas tree method,but I
do know that if you let them all grow you wont be able to get into the patch
and you'll worry all day and all night that the 4 foot high leaf stems that
are reaching for sunlight 'cause there's too much competition at the 2 foot
level will blow over or self destruct with fungus.(The first year has a lot of
learning!)
