The pumpkin started to go soft yesterday so today I took some final
farewell photos and carved it up for composting. I did weigh all the
pieces and they totalled up to 508 pounds, which is a new best for me.
I have placed several new photos on the web page, including post-mortem
shots of the interior with the spreading fungus. They are high-res shots
(around 130K each) so expect a little longer download time on the page.

A disappointing way to end the season, but the way this one was growing
I know I could (with a bit better luck) grow a 700+ pounder here.
