Pumpkineers,
I recieved an updated xcel chart from Gordon Tanner(thanks
Gordon), and
was highly impressed. Ott covered by it, an estimator of weight, daily
gains, etc, but have one question. The formula he found, and used, is
the ott x 2.79 to the power of .0000795 ..
This formula, while I really like its results, is about 100
pounds
heavier, than the ott and circ scales given in Langevins book - HTGWCGP
II. Any ideas how accurate this is? Is this the Howard Dill formula for
pumpkins over 500 pounds, and is it reliable? I hope so, because it
takes my 560 pound squash (measurements are 134/81/89=304) all the way
up to 672.3 pounds!! YAHOOOOOO!!!!! But I am a realist, and know it is a
little lower than that right now.. Any help on the subject would be
appreciated.
