I'm growing Giant Watermelons for the second year. I am your basic
beginner at melons. I have a few in the patch that are about 2 feet long
and growing rather nicely. I don't know how big they're supposed to be by
now but there still putting on the inches. I sent away to a grower in
Tennessee who was most gracious with his seed. I have enough seed to last
me a lifetime. I gave seed to all who was interested in trying it this
year. Last year I had one that was about 2 feet long that weighed 80lbs.
My goal is 100lbs this year. That is the story of the giants in our
patch. Looks like my melons are going to be bigger than the pumpkins this
year.
