Kevin: I know how you feel, just went through this 2 weeks ago myself!!
My plant has recovered athough all the leaves still look like swiss
cheese the plant is growing fine and all the pock marks on the pumpkins
have healed! This seems to be common in the world of giant pumpkin
growing.
Make sure you apply fungicide to the damaged area of the pumpkins and
give them a shot of Miracle grow or any other brand name water soluble
fetilizer(Peters,KGrow ect)
The plants should look alot better in a week or two!
