My best is 30 days old today. A 104" circumference and a total OTT of 237",
which charts out in the 285 LB area. While this fruit was set 2 weeks later
than I would have liked it seems to be growing well.
On the bad luck side, while visiting my patch yesterday morning I turned
around just in time to see, in broad daylight, a coyote carrying off my cat.
I gave pursuit, the coyote dropped the cat but the cat was dead.
@#$%%^. He was a huge 20 LB plus cat and he always followed me to the patch
each morning. I am going to truly miss his companionship.
So much for the joys of country life.
