RE: Month old

Sorry to here about your cat and it reminded me of my Pumpkin patch/cat occurance.

I used to have a kitten that used to follow me to the pumpkin patch. Really friendly thing.

I believe that it was 1994 I had some good pumpkins develop split stems so I decided to roll them out in front of the barn to show them off to local passers by. This accomplished, it caught the attention of local newspaper so got picture of me and my dog a border collie in the local newspaper.

Noticed a while later that the cat didn't come in to eat and thought that it had ran away or something.

About 2 -3 weeks later when I went to clean up the vines in the patch found one flat kitty. Stiff as a board and you probably could play frisby with it as it had dried out somewhat.

Well Since the pumpkins were about 300 lbs when you roll them by yourself you don't get a good view of what is immediately on the other side of the pumpkin and they also create some noise rolling over strms and leaves that muffled any last crys from flat kitty.

Again sorry for your loss.

Bob.
