how are you this year? I hope alittle more optimistic then when we
talked on the phone? thought i'd give you alittle update on your baby
941#. maybe we jumped the gun on the mossiac virus call. i think it's
just a soil ammendment probem. this was a place we were able to plant at
the last minute and didn't have time to soil test. we did trim some back
but it showed up spotty and didn't spread like a virus should. the
pumkin has slowed down alot is very mature looking. very large ribs and
deep. measures up at 115 x 75 x 75 . should be heavy it looks like it
will be.
our other is the one we call our stumpless wonder. we lost the first 3
foot of stump and main on july 24th. the pumpkin was one month old on
the 18th of august. it measured 117x 74 x74 on the 19th. we check and
record every wendnesday. the week before was 100 x 65 x 65. how much
effect will the stump being gone have on this pumpkin? it is just
starting to rib some now. it has gained 1 1/4" in height the last 2 days
I'll update on wednesday evening if you can to know. And thanks for
