Re: Growing THE big one


     Well, the one thing you have going for yourself is low humidity.  If 
you could get a misting system to cool things off when the temps are above 
90 you should do a it better.  I don't know what the elevation does but I 
assume it is colder, earlier where you are and that would not help.  Cloudy 
days also are a bummer.  You plant needs all the light it can get and a 
cloudy day will slow down growth of the plant and pumpkin big time.  Your 
very cool nights don't help much either.  I personally don't see how you 
could get to 700 but with a good year of weather I supose you could do it.  
Oh, the sandy soil is no big deal.  I also have sandy soil and I do well.
