is this normal ?

I have never planted pumpkins before and actually didn`t this year, but this spring I noticed one coming up from where my daughter had discarded a pumkin that she had bought for decoration and transplanted in my garden. To my suprise it grew very well I think , but now I have two mature dark orange pumpkins andtwo  small green ones , my question is, is this normal for them to be ripe so early ?  Or is there still some growing to do ? I have no clue. Thanks.  Alvin
