List-I open up this subject looking for results of your attempts at using
Grubbex/Merit systemic insecticide.I used it.I used it 4x......it doesn't
work in my patch.Instead of World Class Giant Pumpkins I have World Class
Giant Borers...............everywhere.
I must admit when I read about this system I thought to myself, "If it
sounds too good to be true it probably is".The very thought of letting a
borer eat away til its dead didn't sit right, but having to go away for a
week+ in the middle of Borer season prompted me to try it. I have yet to see
one in my vine but there all over the leaf veins...especially at the
leaf-stalk juncture.They're big-fat and juicey...they don't look affected at
all.Now when the wind blows the leaves collapse....bummer....I guess its
another learning year.
Who's using it with success?
What did I do wrong?
And if you're using
it....beware........................................Glenn A.
