Hello fellow growers!
I feel like I can say that now with a little more confidence, since tonight I
pollinated my first pumpkin! It is on the KUHN 607 plant. I selected 5
different males and used them all. Then tied up the female with a "chastity
belt" made from the curly vines on the plant. Ha. How many days will pass
before the results will be known and what do I look for? Or do I just have to
wait and see if the fruit gets bigger? I had a hard time leaving the pumpkin
patch, feeling like I should sleep out there and be with my new baby, but I
guess now I know a little more how it feels to be a pumpkin mama.
Sincerely,
Karri
