Iowan say thanks

List
Thanks to all for the support. I know alot have gone through similar
trials and tribulations. It's new for me and I'm not adapting to it
well.
I have not done any fert. this year just ran a winter rye cover
crop.
Plants looked excellant most of the year until this hit.
I don't ever expect to "GROW A WORLD RECORD". I live in Iowa and Do
have some clue on how this sport goes!! Look at the state record. I'm a
realist. All I ever want to do is grow a big healthy plant and see what
I COULD get out of a healthy plant.
I don't care WHO grows a bigger pumpkin the me. I basically do this
for the fun. Which I think alot of people (not necessarily people on
this list) should stop and take a look at why they do this. Just my
opinion. I'm sure some of you can pick a few out who seem to be out for
every "DOLLAR" they can make.
The pines that border my patch on 2 sides only don't shade only late
in the afternoon around 4:00 maybe 3:30. The needles don't fall in the
patch and the soil was tested at 6.8 PH.don't think this is a problem.
The 791 glasier is slowing way down. Tonight meas. are 115 x 69 x72.
The stump is just about gone. I'm leaving all my troubles behind and
going to Canada fishing with my kids and family!! Thanks for all the
support!!
The Carlsons Dan and Beth
