how long does it take a female flower to open up?

I was wondering how long it takes for a female flower to open up, from the
time you first spot them till they fully open?? And same with a male are
they the same or are they different??  And how many days well the flower
stay open??? DO you have more than one day to pollinate??

I have two small pumpkins finally growing! One is on my biggest plant named
"ANDRE" ( seed was from a local guy, his pumpkin was 804 last year at the
local contest)
The pumpkin is about the size of a large grapefruit.  The other plant is
named ALBERT the pumpkin is the size of a baseball ( got the seeds from
Howard Dills website)
Hope to beat my last years weight of only 64 lbs.., it was from a Mighty
Max,
I planted just to get a pumpkin for my kids to carve for Halloween. Wasn't
even trying. This year  trying and not having much luck!! BLAME it on the
weather!!!
