This has got to be my most frustrating hobby yet. I NEVER know what's going
to happen. Yesterday I was asking the question "to pick or not to pick"
because one of my pumpkins was turning orange (slow growth/aged). Today as
I'm fertilizing, I notice one of my pumps has split, from end to end (too
fast/young). In five years of growing regular pumpkins nothing prepared me
for these ups and downs. If this keeps up I'll be back on the Prozac.
