Hey guys-
Third year growing AG's...Kindof my last year for awhile b/c I'll be
going away to college next year, and won't be around for the last month or so
of pumpkin time...I'll probably plant anyway, go away and hope for the best.
Anyway...Last year I hardly fertilized at all, and ended up with a 350 or so,
but I had alot of good luck, no bugs, no borers, no disease, good weather, no
animals, etc. This year has been hell. Bugs, borers, wilt, crummy weather,
woodchucks ate the ends of of EVERY SINGLE {(I eventually shot the little
rodent :-)} vine while I was away on vacation. So the plant never got big
enough, I've been trying to compensate by using more fertilizer....Figure,
heck, might as well push, push, push and push somemore and see what happens.
Like the lotto guy says...."Hey...you never know". So if my current fert.
program seems a little excessive.....I know. :-) My plant has started to
die off...The stump is pretty much gone, so I'm pretty much done for this
year....Oh well. Maybe next year. :-) Ugh...Oh well, good luck to everyone
else....and maybe "babyback" as I've named her will get struck by lightening
and get a huge kick before October. Later guys/gals
