I am very much interested in looking at any kind of cucurbit seed for
the air tube and tan fibers layer in various C. maxima cultivars. I
assume they are not present in any species except C. maxima, but we
won't know until we look. The air tubes are large enough for most folks
to see, expecially in a soaked seed.
If they don't care to mail, folks can look at Hubbard, Big Max, and
other cultivars and report on Pumpkins. C. maxima are very interesting
seeds. Does anyone have any idea were the tan (brown) fibers layer of
Atlantic Giant seeds came from?

Heath, does Marrow have such tubes (only if you have a seed to spare for
soaking and cutting). A razor blade is nice for such cutting.
