I amin the same boat you are. I have had growths of 3-5 inches over a
period of 2 weeks, until this week, which I would get .5 inches in a night,
then next night I had 3.. Following night, 0", followed by 2 inches.. I am
not sure, but I have noticed a considerable amount of catelouping in the
past week on the CIliberto697 plant. Doesnt look like I am going to have a
monster this year, but I will have a great bunch fo seeds! The measurements
on this pumpkin as of tonite is 121-72-72=265"OTT...... EST WEIGHT- 388 up
to 422 lbs. The difference is in the circumference or OTT charts. I would
gamble on the higher of the two, just because the 697 offspring weigh in
heavier than charts usually, great wall thickness. I was shoting for 1,000
pounds, but will take a healthy pumpkin of 500 pounds or so anyday over
losing her 2 weeks before the weighoff. That, my friend, is very
disheartening!!!
