RE: climate or genetics


Ken, could you specify what you meant buy the term "fogging."  I don't 
understand  what this is.  I do shade my pumpkins with plywood etc.

We have hot weather in the West and have grown 4 and 500 #.  Take a good
look at a soil sample and what the soil make up is.  Shading and
definetey fogging might aid in larger fruit.  Think the plants shut down
when hotter weather comes and maturity speeds up.  Only diference there
is the humidity and the need for irrigation instead of relying on the
rain.  Good luck
