Can the "OTT" system of measurement graphs used for AG
pumpkins be used to give the estimated weight of a Prizewinner pumpkin or do
they need to be adjusted for the variety of pumpkin? Also, does anybody
have any experience with using their seeds from a homegrown Prizewinner pumpkin
for the following years patch? How did the following years crop compare to
the first year, larger/smaller? I have one Prizewinner that is
at 166 pounds (ott) with great shape and color and was wondering if I
should save the seeds for next year. I don't know what the cross was,
it could have been with an AG flower. Someone once told me that the
Prizewinner is a hybrid and therefore the seeds are better produced by the
professional grower. I do not have a clue on whether or not this could be
true.
Thanks in advance for any information.
