Re: First Year Grower

Let me see if i understand, you have 2 plants? and 4 pumpkins, 2 on a
plant? and all of them are on the main? if that's the case, i would
guess, now, mind you this is just a guess based on what i've seen in my own
patch, that one of the pumpkins is taking the nutrients, and the other one
down the line is not getting any. Or at least not enough to make it grow
anymore. What i saw in my own patch this year was that i pollinated one on
the main, and then a few days later another on the main. the one closer to
the stump received all the nutrients, or at least most of them, and kept
growing, the one after, farthest from the main, received little or no
nutrients, and didn't grow much, if at all. if you're going to grow
multiple pumpkins on a plant, it is usually advisable that you do on
separate vines. Do i have this right, or am i off base here with what i
think you have going on in your patch?

Scott,
the pumpkins are all on different plants and on the main vine. One out 4
ft
on the vine and the other is out about 10 ft.
