Dear Jan and Dad,
Your best bet for good seeds and information on pumpkin growing and
weigh-off sites in the Northwest is the Pacific Northwest Giant Pumpkin
Growers Group or PNWGP. There are three Membership plans. The $15 plan
gets you the newsletters entry into the seed give away and admittance to all
the meetings and seminars. The $20 plan gets all the above plus one entry
into all the PNWGPG weigh-offs. (There are three of them at this time.) The
$35 family plan gets all the above with two giant pumpkin entries. The
weigh offs are at Remlinger Farms in Carnation Washington on October 2.
Hoffmans Dairy Gardens in Canby, Oregon on October 9. And the Supermall in
Auburn, Washington at a date that has yet to be announced. If you don't
want to participate in the weigh-offs and just want good seed, wait a couple
months and there will be plenty available from list members who would love
to have others grow their seeds and let them know how they turned out. I
