Sounds more like a video card issue.
Check with your display properties (right click anywhere on a unused spot on your desktop) and see if you can change your video resolution up from 16 colors. If no - it could be that you do not have the correct video drivers installed as even the most basic video cards for 486's should support 256 color.

I was wondering why you need 256 colors in your hard drive to get in the AGGC
site.I have been accessing the site for the last year or so to get info.All
of a sudden i can't get in.try'd everything.Do i have to spend big money to
update my computor to access this site again or is their another way?.I have
16 colors in hard drive.Not interested in buying new hard drive.Any
suggestions?
