OK then - I have measured the leaves on the Kincaid and the biggest is 905mm
across the widest point which is a cow whacker width over three feet. Not
the four I announced- unless of course it shrank in the heat!!!!!!
But no Al, the vines really are going at a foot a day. This morning, the
Kincaid and Armstrong sent out on an inch and a half in three hours. I put
plenty of effort in a compost pit in the winter. I have great seed and a
fantastic climate so far plus I am pouring the water in and there is a mulch
of straw a foot thick all over the patch. The biggest plus is the support
from all you guys which is a real bonus.
Anyway - by far the biggest leaves I have had and the best season to date.
The Emmons is the frst to send out laterals. Lots of female flower buds on
the Armstrong and Kincaid which is unusual as I normally get a lot of males
first (sounds a bit like a party)!!!
Part of my job at work is organising a website to be built which is
happening now. This means that I may be able to go out and buy a good,
middle of the range digital camers. This in turn means that I can get some
shots to you guys. If this is the case, how or who do I send then too? Do I
send 'em direct to the list or on a site somewhere?????
