Warm rain and amazing growth in NZ

We had a very wet night with heavy, straight down and very warm rain. There
are now so many laterals coming out all over the place I am thinking of
renaming the patch 'Spaghetti Junction'. Lots and lots of laterals. I have
some pegs (I have run out of cow whackers) in the ground to mark the daily
growth of the quickest.

The soil is warm to touch and now after the rain, full of fertiliser.

The Armstrong is the first to have a flower - but a strange thing, the
Kincaid is sending out female flowers two by two. All in pairs along the
primary runner. I cannot say that I have seen that before.

The air is still heavy and muggy so there is a lot of nitrogen in the air
aiding the vegetative growth. Might be in line for a good thunderstorm
soon!!
