   No, up to this time I have grown in "wells" a 18 inch deep and three foot 
across
round holes. The idea is for total DRENCH of the trunk on a daily schedual.I 
simply fill the well with water every morning before work and don't worry 
until I come home.
It cuts out allot of the "flagging" but does not feed the leaf node roots I 
hand watered those.
     Just a thought
