A Fresh Look

There are now 23 States and Provinces showing their Alltime Top 10 Pumpkins
on Jim Gatewoods site at www.ipga.ws.

This gives a fresh look at who's-who in the GP world in various
regions. These are important lists since we are all limited in some way by
weather and it is too easy for growers to be overwhelmed each year by the
relatively few top specimens.

The State/Provincial top 10 is a better yardstick for most growers to use
when analyzing their own results each fall.

Everybody on email can take part in their own Top Ten list.

1.If you live in one of the 23 areas already shown, then check the list for
errors or omissions.I know of a few that exist but it should be up to the
local people to take care of them.

2.If your area is not shown, then why not do something about it??????

There are even States/Provinces with annual weigh-offs that are not shown
yet.

Even if your state has less than 10 pumpkins, make a list anyway. It will fill
up to ten over time.

The list shows fruit GROWN in the state/province,it doesn't matter where it
was weighed as long as it was a public occasion and the pumpkin met the
standards of the site.

No squash,UOW,EXH,EST etc. allowed.(Squash people can always make their own
list)

Here's hoping to see some new listings soon.----------AE
