Says who? I have a hard time keeping my soil below 7.0 Never added lime.
My sulfur is at 130ppm. Right now my PH is 7.1 ... Just watched the video
George Webster taped about soil & pumpkins.... I would advise everybody
view this and think twice about what and when if anything to add to your soil.
A nice pumpkin rub of Calcium is what I need.
