heating coils

Ned,
I use heating coils also....living in MN it helps gets the plants rolling to be ready by mid to end of June!  I have pollinated middle of June!
I test them every year and it seems like every year..one dies...so not sure how long they last.
One other use I have for them...I turn them back on in the fall ....ie..I never take them out of the ground and get both spring and fall covered.
