Re: Bill VanIderstine Comment

Bill:
As usual you are out of line. First it was Mike Nepereny
now its Marv.  I think the only one here without morals is you.  I have tried to set back and keep my mouth shut. But after this comment I must respond.   Marve expressed his opinion about something that I think a lot of us are concerned about. There was nothing in his email that should question his morals. Why do you want emailed privately for something you sent to the group.? You started it here and this is were it should be finished.  Everyone is entitled to their personal opinion, but your post are not opinions they are personal attacks. Now for the AGGC site. I would like to see you or anyone else who doesn't run a web site to try it for a while and just see how much time and money it takes to keep it going.  You have to pay for server space, software, domain name registration. If you are not willing to pay $10.00 per year for what is on the AGGC site.  Then you are a fool. I don't care how much information you send to the site. You still should pay the $10.00. That goes for anyone if you haven't paid your $10.00 then don't use it.
Mr. VanIderstine I have never met you and don't know you. But by you personal attacks in your posts if you are worried about morals then maybe you had better look in the mirror!   Now for my feelings on Howard Dill. I think we owe him a great deal, and I think it is great he is selling seeds from some top pumpkins.  I hope someday I can give him some seeds to sell. yes I will give them to him and he can sell them for whatever he wants.  I don't plan on ever selling seeds.  I owe to many people who have given me seeds. If I ever get a big pumpkin it will be pay back time.  My Personal opinion is Howard Dill or someone authorized by him are the only ones who should be selling AG seeds. The fund raising auction are authorized by him. But I hope in the future all fund raising auctions will not sell seeds to any one  that is going to resell them on the internet. This can only harm the sport.  If you are not going to grow or trade the seeds then don't bid on them....
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone..

Marve: Yes, Your problem is growing a big pumpkin. Howard Dill is doing the best he can under the situation
you and others without morals presented to him. How in the world do you expect him to respond to you, he is the
king,  no one but you will question that. You & I'm being general in this. Why when you pay $25,000 Us for seed that
you get the Gaul to commend him for selling the best he has for $8 dollars. You should be ashamed of your self.

I await your reply Privately

If you really want a Kuhn 712, try writing him. He is very generous with his
seeds and sent me some when I wrote him and sent a SASE. I don't have his
address but it is in one of the newsletters. It may get more difficult to get
good seeds or maybe easier in the future if you want to pay. Howard Dill
appears to be buying seeds from big pumpkins and then selling them on his web
site. I have no problem with this but as I see the prize money growing and
these "privately grown" seeds being sold on the internet I am getting
concerned that it is all becoming too commercial. Where will we be in ten
years? Also I wonder if there are enough growers out there willing to buy
these seeds such that it will really be a profitable venture for those
selling. Not my problem. My problem is how to grow a bigger pumpkin.
