Re: Giant Onions

Some years ago as a kid i grew some 6lb onions using a variety called show master.  I don't now because i have not the time, space or elaborate facilities many growers use.  I do have an old booklet somewhere which i bought when i thought of having a go at producing some really big ones but it is quite complicated from what i remember, so i decided against the idea and stick to 6lbers.  If you would like me to look up the booklet i could scan it in and send you a copy, also there are some good suppliers in UK for seeds.

HI DALE
Here in the UK it is traditional for Giant Onion seeds to be sown on Christmas day. Go ahead and sow them but make sure that you keep the propagation temperatures up for a few months before planting into final growing stations.
