New Member Hi, I just signed up for the digest version of this
list. I have been growing giants for 3 years now. My
brother, who is also a grower got me into this, crazy hobbie.
I know suffer from Pumpkin-Fever!! My biggest pumpkin was 308
last year. I am looking for seed sources. I have already
ordered some from Howard Dill, but I am wondering if this is the
only place to get seeds. I have successfully spread my
Pumpkin-Fever to several others here in Maine and am going to
organize a small contest at our local fair this year. Any
suggestions? I am in the Western Mountains of Maine and have a
very short growing season, and would appreciate any
suggestions. I start my seeds inside, but because of frost I
can not plant until the end of May. I did use cold frames last
year, but had a lot of trouble with powdery mildew. I would
appreciate any help.
