Big Pumpkin in California
When it comes to the record in California for this year I would have to go
with Mother Goose. The reason for this is that I have been told she has made
a deal with the Little Red Hen and thereby has captured the chicken manure
market in the Southwest. The deal had to do with a swap of pumpkin for
manure. The seeds, of course, will be auctioned off and some of that money
will go toward an unspecified amount of chicken feed. The Little Red Hen has
an MBA, so don't laugh. Also I heard the California grower who had a 977
several years ago is involved. He has been lurking out there and I won't
mention his name as it is only a rumor.
