Happy New Year - and may your time with pumpkins
be bountiful this year.
On behalf of the Spencerville Agriculture Society I am
offering a number of seeds for auction to raise money for the Spencerville
Fair's Mammoth Pumpkin stake.
Seeds come from my personal seed collection and I would like
to thank each of the growers who have sent me these seeds over the
years.
The seeds in the Auction are:
1) Eaton '01-1153 (Bobier '99-723 x Eaton '00-974.5)
2) Marcellus '95 -449 (Bax '94-990 x Zher
'94-804)
3) Sproule '97-690 (Eaton'96-941 x Greer '96-1006),
4) McIntyre '98-750 (Ciliberto '96-693 x Geerts
'96-894),

Each of these seeds are being auctioned separately and each
seed will be sent to the highest bidder along with 5 seeds from my 1999 - 677#
pumpkin (Anderson '97-634 x Geerts 894). It weighted 70 pounds
heavy.
The Auction will run from now and Finish on January 13th at
12.00 noon Eastern Time. I will try to get this auction up on a web site to
make it easy for everyone but in the meantime bidders can contact me directly
at m*@cybertap.com . I will
try to advise bidders of the status on a daily basis (or more frequently
depending on interrest).
As this is a non-profit auction tax receipts will be sent
out to the successful bidders with the seeds. Cheques can be made out to the
Spencerville Agriculture Society a registered charity.
Good Luck and Season's Greetings.
Bob Marcellus,
Assistant to the Judge at the Spencerville Fair's Mammoth
Pumpkin Stake.
