We have a winner in the Poetry Contest

Ladies and Gentlemen,
We have a winner in the first pumpkin poetry contest, and some 2nd, 3rd
place finishes, plus a very honorable mention. The envelope please.

First Prize: Dale Fisher of Oregon
Dale Fisher receives a copy of Pumpkins Are Orange donated by its author
Jack Breckenridge, plus some superb 1000-pound-plus seeds donated by Bob
Attaway, and an Australian 2003 calendar donated by Tony Hickman. 

Second Place: Mike Stephenson of Oregon (is poetry in the air up there?)
Mike Stephenson receives an Australian 2003 calendar donated by Tony
Hickman.

Third Place: Larry Checkon of Pennsylvania
Mike Stephenson receives an Australian 2003 calendar donated by Tony
Hickman.

Honorable Mention: Cliff Warren of Idaho

A big warm round of applause for our judges, please, (Bob Attaway, Jack
Breckenridge and Tony Hickman) who not only sweated through TWO rounds
of eliminations but also donated the prizes that made this such a
rewarding post-season activity. 
Will the winners please send me your mailing addresses so we can get
your prizes in the mail to you asap. 
Anyone wishing to read any of the 14 entries is welcome to contact me.
They were all very good.
