Matt,
I know you are trying to grow 'big' pumpkins. We all are. The purpose of my
question was to get a better idea of what properties your goal pumpkin should
posess. Color? Wall thickness? Ribbed? Tall? Vigorous? What traits are you
trying to preserve? Which are you trying to introduce? Cross-pollination
should be done with an outcome in mind. The potential for sizable progeny is
obviously already there. You may want to now consider breeding it for
stability.
