Seeds and crosses
Novice grower from W. Kentucky...First would like to acknowledge the
generosity of many on the list who have shared seeds with me. Greatly appreciated.
Snowed in here today...17 inches in 24 hours in Owensboro, Ky where the annual
average snowfall is less than 15 inches...4 to 5 foot drifts along the length of
200 ft. driveway so I wont be going anywhere for a while...which gave me time
to look through all the seeds that I have received and has raised a couple of
questions. First...on several seed packs I noticed that following the seed
description it has...(UOW)...what does this mean? Secondly I would be
interested in any and all theories that all of you experienced growers with your
incredible knowledge and wisdon concerning how to choose genetic crosses. I would
assume it depends on what characteristics that I want, but dont know whether it
would be best to self cross or cross with another plant with similar
qualities. All thoughts would be appreciated.
Peace
Wayne
