RE: Pumpkin Poetry Winners announced

Kathie, either is fine; the GVGO is closer to me, plus I grow Red Barn, Daniels & Phil's Fantastic tomatoes too. I just enjoyed entering because my poem was at least 99.99% true story of what happened this year; my neighbor, whose driveway I used when I cut the fence, was ecstatic when I told him I won 3rd place and he was mentioned in the poem, so much so that he wants me to make copies for him & his family! Lol. If he hears it was 2nd instead of 3rd, maybe he'll help with tilling this spring! Every year I held back, worrying that I'd grow something I couldn't get out of the yard, if you saw what I have to work with you'd understand. Now that I have a 4x8ft hole in the fence, there's no stopping me next year! Watch out Chickenman!

Mark

Mark and Everyone!

My apologies to you all. Thanks for keeping me on my toes. I feel like the
governor of Florida must have felt. I tried so hard to keep the poets'
identities from my excellent judges that I managed in the end to hide them
from myself.

Mark Korney placed second, Owen Olsen third. Pete Dudley is still first.

Korney and Olsen were just one point apart in the judges' eyes. In fact, all
the poems were quite good, and the judges had their work cut out for them.

Honorable mentions to: Erin Huff and Beverly Baker.

Now I must go do pence, thanks to one of my judges.

Kathie
